Job Summary

Working with research & development, sales, and customer support with issues related to product, inquiries, orders, fulfillment and post sales support. Help establish systems and procedures for professional support.

Major tasks and responsibility for this position include:

  • Provide audiology or dispensing knowledge to the organization
  • Provide customers with support regarding product selection, programming of our proprietary hearing devices, web-applications, software installations, etc.
  • Investigate customer issues, and expedite customer satisfaction
  • Provide feedback to improve product, collateral, website and services, based on consumer experience

Requirements:

  •  A degree in Audiology or related field
  • Hearing aid dispensing license, or the ability or acquire one within a reasonable time frame
  • 1 year hearing aid dispensing experience desirable
  • Customer/professional support experience highly desirable
  • Ability to function independently as well as within cross-disciplinary team environment
  • Excellent organizational, oral, written and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to multitask
  • Strong problem solving skills

Full Stack Software Engineer / Developer, Medical Device Start Up (San Leandro)

iHear Medical, Inc. is a Bay Area startup developing innovative web-based hearing aid solutions. We are looking for a hands-on software engineer to develop web-enabled hearing solutions for the millions with hearing loss worldwide. The candidate must be creative with analytical skills, a self-starter, able to work collaboratively as well as independently in a multidisciplinary environment. You'll be responsible for creating and building robust e-commerce website and applications, applying the latest thinking in front-end design. Must be able to work across the organization interfacing with marketing, clinical and senior management.

Duties of this position include:

1. Design and develop innovative client and server applications with ease of use in mind.

2. Write elegant, maintainable, and extensible code while setting a good example for other team members to do the same.

Requirements:

1. 2+ years of progressively broadening software management.

2. Technical background, BS or MS in a computer-related engineering field.

3. Expertise with Mac development.

4. Expertise with C#, C++, Java or other OO languages.

5. Demonstrable experience through entire project life-cycles, particularly using Agile/Scrum practices.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Skills:

- Familiarity with medical device software development or FDA regulations (software only)

- Front end UI development experience

- PHP, Web application, or database development experience

- Experience with USB or serial interfaces software and systems programming

- Experience with C#, Node.js, NoSQL, or networking software development

- Cross platform development experience

- System/Network administration experience
